Lady A Wants To Record A Taylor Swift Song

Given the success Little Big Town’s single, “Better Man,” has had so far, there’s little doubt that other artists are also interested in releasing a Taylor Swift-penned song to radio. One of those interested groups is Lady Antebellum, who recently talked to Billboard about the prospect of recording a song written by Swift. Hillary Scott said, “I mean honestly Taylor, call us. Like, we’re up for whatever. Let’s go.”

Charles Kelley said they’d probably want Taylor to pen “a nostalgic song” for them, but there’s something else they want, too. Kelley jokes, “I hope it would be No.1. That’s all I want. It better go No. 1 though. If we cut a song and it goes like No. 2, I’m going to be so disappointed.”

Blake Shelton Makes History At People’s Choice Awards

Blake Shelton made history on Wednesday night (1/18) when he became the first country artist to win in the all-genre Favorite Album category at the People’s Choice Awards. Aside from earning the coveted Favorite Album award for his latest record, If I’m Honest, Shelton also took home his second consecutive trophy for Favorite Male Country Artist.

·         Reacting to his historic win, Blake said, “I could not be more thankful. All I’ve ever wanted to do is sing country music, so to win Favorite Male Country Artist is incredible. And to be the first country artist to ever win Favorite Album is beyond words.”

·         Some of the other country winners at the People’s Choice Awards were Carrie Underwood, who won Favorite Female Country Artist, and Little Big Town, who took home the Favorite Country Group trophy.

Breaking: Kimberly Schlapman Welcomes A Baby Girl
