Kacey Musgraves Announces World Tour

Kacey Musgraves is going on tour overseas. The singer played O2 Arena in London over the weekend and announced she’ll be back for more shows this fall.

“I haven’t told anybody this yet but we are going to go on a world tour and it’s going to start over here on your side of the pond this fall,” she told the crowd, adding, “I am freaking out because we are going to play Wembley Arena.”

Kacey’s “Oh, What a World Tour” is set to kick off October 21st in Amsterdam, wrapping November 6th in Dublin, Ireland.

Kacey Musgraves and Zac Brown Collaborate In The Studio

Zac Brown Band’s upcoming album, Welcome Home, will include a song featuring vocals from Kacey Musgraves. The collaboration was revealed when Zac and Kacey shared video of them putting their spin on the John Prine classic “All the Best” in the studio together. Welcome Home will hit shelves on Friday, May 12.

 

·         Kacey said in her caption for the video, “I had SO much fun singin’ on one of my favorite old @john_prine songs on the new @zacbrownband record. Zac – thanks for always being so kind and supportive to me.”

Additional Details Revealed for ACM Awards

With the upcoming ACM Awards just days away, the Academy of Country Music has announced the final list of performers, collaborations and special guest presenters at the ceremony. Brett Eldredge and Old Dominion have been added to the show’s lineup of solo performers, while Thomas Rhett and Maren Morris are set to join forces their new duet “Craving You.” Additionally, the presenters taking the stage this year will include Lauren Alaina, Kane Brown, Kacey Musgraves, and many more. Merle Haggard Tribute Concert Planned For Nashville

Some of country’s biggest stars will assemble in Nashville this spring for a special concert honoring the life and songs of the legendary Merle Haggard. Dubbed “Sing Me Back Home: The Music Of Merle Haggard,” the all-star concert will take place at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on April 6 in honor of what would have been Merle’s 80th birthday and the one-year anniversary of his passing. The night will include performances by artists such as Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves, Dierks Bentley, Hank Williams Jr., John Mellencamp, Lynyrd Skynyrd and many more.

 

·       Tickets go on sale this Friday (3/3) at 11 AM local time at ticketmaster.com, by phone at 800-745-3000, all Ticketmaster locations and the Bridgestone Arena box office.

Kacey Musgraves Gets Engaged

Kacey Musgraves and her boyfriend Ruston Kelly are engaged! It all went down on Christmas Eve (12/24) when Kelly got down on one knee and proposed to Kacey in her childhood home. In a post on Instagram, Musgraves revealed that she said “HELL YESSSS” when Ruston popped the question in “the same room I played with my ponies and barbies.” She then said, “I finally know what everyone means when they say ‘you just know.'” The message was accompanied by a picture of Kacey showing off her new bling in front of a silver tinsel Christmas tree.

 

·         Musgraves returned to Instagram later to share more details about the engagement, revealing that Kelly proposed while the song “Two For The Road” by Henry Mancini was playing. That full message can be seen here.

·         Kelly is a Nashville-based musician who has written songs for artists such as Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney.

More Legendary Performers Added To CMA Awards

The star power at the upcoming 50th Annual CMA Awards continues to grow with the addition of more legendary acts to the lineup.  Joining the star-studded lineup are 2016 Country Music Hall of Fame inductees Charlie Daniels and Randy Travis; former Entertainer of the Year winners Ricky Skaggs and Roy Clark and former CMA Awards host Clint Black. The new wave of performers also includes Jason Aldean, Chris Stapleton, Thomas Rhett, Jennifer Nettles, Martina McBride and Dwight Yoakam, as well as multi-format performers Elle King and Pentatonix.

 

·       These artists join previously announced performers Alabama, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Brooks & Dunn, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line, Vince Gill, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Tim McGraw, Maren Morris, Kacey Musgraves, Brad Paisley, Charley Pride, Reba, George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, and Garth Brooks with Trisha Yearwood.

More Performers Added To CMA Awards

More performers have been added to The 50th Annual CMA Awards, including Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Tim McGraw, Kacey Musgraves and Garth Brooks with Trisha Yearwood. These artists join previously announced performers Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Maren Morris, Keith Urban, as well as co-hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. The show’s Golden Anniversary will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on November 2 at 8:00 PM ET on ABC.

All For The Hall Benefit Held In Los Angeles

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum hosted its ninth All for the Hall benefit concert on Tuesday night (9/27) in Los Angeles. The event featured an all-star lineup that included Vince Gill, Kacey Musgraves, Chris Stapleton, James Taylor and Joe Walsh, with a group of sixth graders from L.A.’s Dorris Place Elementary School also on hand to give a special performance. After Tuesday night’s benefit, the 2016 All for the Hall events in Nashville and Los Angeles have now netted more than $900,000 for the Museum’s educational programs.

 

Maren Morris Joins Fellow Rising Female Stars For “Women Of Country Music Roundtable”

Six of country music’s rising female stars recently came together to talk about a host of topics in Billboard’s “Women of Country Music Roundtable.” Kacey Musgraves, CAM, Maren Morris, Mickey Guyton, Aubrie Sellers, and Margo Price were all on hand to discuss everything from topics related to being a woman in country music today to the presidential election and politics.
