Blake Shelton Makes History At People’s Choice Awards

Blake Shelton made history on Wednesday night (1/18) when he became the first country artist to win in the all-genre Favorite Album category at the People’s Choice Awards. Aside from earning the coveted Favorite Album award for his latest record, If I’m Honest, Shelton also took home his second consecutive trophy for Favorite Male Country Artist.

 

·         Reacting to his historic win, Blake said, “I could not be more thankful. All I’ve ever wanted to do is sing country music, so to win Favorite Male Country Artist is incredible. And to be the first country artist to ever win Favorite Album is beyond words.”

·         Some of the other country winners at the People’s Choice Awards were Carrie Underwood, who won Favorite Female Country Artist, and Little Big Town, who took home the Favorite Country Group trophy.

 

Blake Shelton’s If I’m Honest Debuts At Number One

Blake Shelton’s New Album If I’m Honest has debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart and the album’s lead single “Came Here To Forget” has also reached the top of the country charts giving Shelton his 17th consecutive #1 single and 22nd overall. To make this news even sweeter, Shelton’s new animated film The Angry Birds Movie recently topped the North American Box Office following its release.

Blake Shelton Discusses Oak Ridge Boys Doing Guest Vocals On His New Track

There’s a song on Blake Shelton’s new album, If I’m Honest, that features vocals from the Oak Ridge Boys. The track is called “Doing It To Country Songs.” Blake says the guys strived for perfection, “We finally had to go like, guys, it’s good, its good enough! I mean, you can’t get it better!’ Until finally it’s like, ‘Man, I’m tired! You guys nailed it on the second take anyway.'”

Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani Will Debut Their Duet On The Voice

Blake Shelton and his girlfriend Gwen Stefani will debut their duet “Go Ahead And Break My Heart” on Monday night’s (5/9) episode of NBC’s The Voice. The song was actually co-written by Blake and Gwen and appears on Shelton’s forthcoming album, If I’m Honest, out May 20th.

Blake Shelton Is Hitting Christian Radio

Blake Shelton is hitting Christian Radio this week with his brand-new single “Savior’s Shadow.” The song is the latest peek at Shelton’s forthcoming album, If I’m Honest. Blake says, “At a very dark time in my life last year I dreamed the first verse of this song. I woke up and immediately wrote it down. Now, looking back, I know it was God’s way of telling me that he’s here and things are gonna be okay.”

Blake Shelton Reveals Release Date For If I’m Honest

Blake Shelton just revealed the title and release date for his forthcoming studio album, If I’m Honest, and the new project will feature a duet with girlfriend Gwen Stefani. Blake and Gwen appear on the cover of the new issue of People Magazine. Blake’s new album, If I’m Honest, will be released on May 20th.
