Grand Ole Opry Announces CMA Fest Week Kick Off

The Grand Ole Opry has announced their star-studded lineup hitting the stage as they kick off CMA Music Fest Week with back-to-back shows on June 6. The two evening shows will include acts such as Carrie Underwood, Dustin Lynch, Del McCoury and Bill Anderson, with the kick-off celebration also featuring a free Opry Plaza performance by Parmalee earlier in the afternoon.

 

·         CMA Music Fest Week will also include previously announced performances by Blake Shelton, Steve Wariner, Trace Adkins, Charley Pride, Roy Clark, Oak Ridge Boys, Scotty McCreery, Brandy Clark and Sara Evans.

More Legendary Performers Added To CMA Awards

The star power at the upcoming 50th Annual CMA Awards continues to grow with the addition of more legendary acts to the lineup.  Joining the star-studded lineup are 2016 Country Music Hall of Fame inductees Charlie Daniels and Randy Travis; former Entertainer of the Year winners Ricky Skaggs and Roy Clark and former CMA Awards host Clint Black. The new wave of performers also includes Jason Aldean, Chris Stapleton, Thomas Rhett, Jennifer Nettles, Martina McBride and Dwight Yoakam, as well as multi-format performers Elle King and Pentatonix.

 

·       These artists join previously announced performers Alabama, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Brooks & Dunn, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line, Vince Gill, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Tim McGraw, Maren Morris, Kacey Musgraves, Brad Paisley, Charley Pride, Reba, George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, and Garth Brooks with Trisha Yearwood.

·       The 50th Annual CMA Awards will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on November 2 at 8:00-PM ET on ABC.

Museum Exhibit Honoring 50th CMA Awards Heading To Phoenix

The Country Music Association (CMA) has partnered with the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) in Phoenix to create a special exhibit celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the CMA Awards. Special guest Hunter Hayes will be on hand to officially open the museum’s exhibit on October 24. The exhibit features instruments on loan from several CMA Musician of the Year nominees and winners including Roy Clark, Jerry Douglas, Mac McAnally, and Mark O’Connor.

 

·         The opening of the exhibit will also feature a performance by students from Rosie’s House, a music academy for children in Phoenix.
