MEET THE DJS

In the beginning of 2017, Bob Allen moved to the morning slot on KMZN after being the morning host on KBOE since 1998. When he's not playing the hits at KMZN, he's probably spinning them at home on vinyl or playing guitar in a band. Bob is also an avid photographer, film nerd, and nature enthusiast. He enjoys spending his time exploring and photographing the Iowa countryside with his wife Donna.

After some years on the air at his alma mater, Luther College in Decorah, and a radio stint in 1992, Spence Ver Meer has returned to the airwaves after a 25-year hiatus each afternoon on KBOE/KMZN. Spence has never strayed far from the limelight, however, as he has been heavily involved in Pella Community Theatre’s “Union Street Players” for nearly 30 years. Spence will also never shy away from a trivia question, in fact, he writes a question daily for 2pm Trivia on KBOE, brightening a listener’s day with a prize! He lives in his native Pella, not a surprise with that last name.
