Lady A Wants To Record A Taylor Swift Song

Given the success Little Big Town’s single, “Better Man,” has had so far, there’s little doubt that other artists are also interested in releasing a Taylor Swift-penned song to radio. One of those interested groups is Lady Antebellum, who recently talked to Billboard about the prospect of recording a song written by Swift. Hillary Scott said, “I mean honestly Taylor, call us. Like, we’re up for whatever. Let’s go.”

Charles Kelley said they’d probably want Taylor to pen “a nostalgic song” for them, but there’s something else they want, too. Kelley jokes, “I hope it would be No.1. That’s all I want. It better go No. 1 though. If we cut a song and it goes like No. 2, I’m going to be so disappointed.”

Charles Kelley Announces “The Driver” Release Date

Charles Kelley has announced that his debut solo studio album, The Driver, will be released on February 5th. The Driver will be Charles’ first album released without his Lady Antebellum bandmates, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood. Kelley shares, “At first, it was really weird to go in the booth and be like, ‘Where’s Hillary? Where’s Dave? But it was very exciting to be the leader in there and go, “This is it, I’m doing this.'”

Hillary Scott Talks Music In Her Family

As the daughter of singer Linda Davis, Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott has always been exposed to music, and following in her mom’s footsteps just seemed like the natural path for her. Hillary tells the Argus Leader, “Honestly, (music’s) like breathing in our family. We don’t know really know how not to do it and I love that.”
