On this day in 2014, Jason Aldean’s Old Boots, New Dirt was the number one album on the Billboard Country Albums chart. The album produced four singles, “Just Getting Started”, “Tonight Looks Good on You”, “Gonna Know We Were Here”, and “Burnin’ It Down” which hit number one.

The album would be Certified Platinum by the RIAA.

November 7th: On This Day

On this day in 2013, Broken Bow Records released Jason Aldean’s single “When She Says Baby” to radio. The song was released as the fifth and final single from Aldean’s fifth studio album, Night Train.

“When She Says Baby” reached number one on the US Country Airplay chart and the Canada Country chart. the song was Certified Platinum by the RIAA.

More Legendary Performers Added To CMA Awards

The star power at the upcoming 50th Annual CMA Awards continues to grow with the addition of more legendary acts to the lineup.  Joining the star-studded lineup are 2016 Country Music Hall of Fame inductees Charlie Daniels and Randy Travis; former Entertainer of the Year winners Ricky Skaggs and Roy Clark and former CMA Awards host Clint Black. The new wave of performers also includes Jason Aldean, Chris Stapleton, Thomas Rhett, Jennifer Nettles, Martina McBride and Dwight Yoakam, as well as multi-format performers Elle King and Pentatonix.

 

·       These artists join previously announced performers Alabama, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Brooks & Dunn, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line, Vince Gill, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Tim McGraw, Maren Morris, Kacey Musgraves, Brad Paisley, Charley Pride, Reba, George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, and Garth Brooks with Trisha Yearwood.

·       The 50th Annual CMA Awards will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on November 2 at 8:00-PM ET on ABC.

Jason Aldean Surprises Single Mother With A New Car

Jason Aldean continued his streak of fan surprises on Friday (9/23) when he showed up at the Cleveland home of his fan Taylore Wingard and presented the single mother of three with a brand new car. After some initial confusion about where the house actually was, Jason pulled into Taylore’s driveway and surprised her with a host of gifts, including a brand new 2016 Kia Soul courtesy of the Northern Ohio Kia Dealers. ·       Wingard also received tickets and VIP passes to Friday night’s (9/23) “Six String Cirus Tour” date in Cleveland, a copy of Jason’s new album, They Don’t Know, a pair of Justin Boots and Aldean’s signature Resistol hat.

Sam Hunt Headlining Taste Of Country Festival

Sam Hunt has been announced as a headliner at the 5th Annual Taste of Country Music Festival. Hunt will join previously announced headliner Jason Aldean at next year’s festival, which will be held June 9-11 at Hunter Mountain Resort in Hunter, New York. Located in the Great Northern Catskills of Greene County, the annual Taste of Country Music Festival has become one of the Northeast’s premiere country music festivals every year.

2016 CMT Artists Of The Year Are Revealed

Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton, Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan and Thomas Rhett have been named as the “2016 CMT Artists of the Year.” The group will be celebrated at the seventh-annual CMT Artists of the Year special, premiering from Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center on October 20 at 9 PM ET on CMT. Each artist will be honored with special performances and tributes during the 90-minute special on CMT. In addition, Kelsea Ballerini is set to receive the second-annual “Breakout Artist of the Year” honor during the ceremony.

 

·       Additional awards, performers and special guests will be announced soon.

·       Stapleton and Rhett are first-time recipients of the CMT Artists of the Year honor, while Underwood, Florida Georgia Line and Bryan have each earned the accolade multiple times.

·       Luke now ties with Jason Aldean as the artists who have most wins with five consecutive years.

ACM Honors Performers Announced

Alicia Keys,Miranda Lambert,Chris Young, Dan + Shay and The Band Perry have been added to the list of performers for Tuesday (8/30) night’s 10th Annual ACM Honors.Also, Mike Fisher, Emmylou HarrisMartina McBride and Thomas Rhett will present at the ceremony taking place at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium.

 

·       Previously announced performers include Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Cam, Toby Keith, Maren Morris, Blake Shelton, Cole Swindell, Keith Urban and hosts Lady Antebellum.

·       The 10TH ACM Honors is an evening dedicated to celebrating the special honorees and off-camera category winners from the 51st Academy of Country Music Awards.

·       Hosted by multi-ACM Award-winning group Lady Antebellum, the two-hour special will tape on Tuesday, August 30 at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium, and make its television debut on September 9 on CBS.

Jason Aldean To Be Honored With The ACM Triple Crown Award

Jason Aldean will be honored with the Academy of Country Music’s prestigious Triple Crown award during the 10th Annual ACM Honors Ceremony on August 30th.  The Triple Crown award is given to artists who have won for New Male/Female Vocalist of the Year, Male/Female Vocalist of the Year, and Entertainer of the Year.

The list of performers for the 10th Annual ACM Honorsceremony has just been announced, with Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Cam, Maren Morris, Cole Swindell, Keith Urban and Lady Antebellum all set to take the stage. Lady A will host the two-hour ceremony, which will be held at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium on August 30. The special will also make its television debut on September 9 at 9:00 PM ET on CBS.

 

·         ACM Honors is an evening celebrating the special honorees and off-camera category winners from the 51st Academy of Country Music Awards. Carrie Underwood, Little Big Town, Urban and Glen Campbell are among the Special Award winners at this year’s ceremony.

 

July 20th: On This Day

On this day in 2011, Jason Aldean scored his seventh #1 song with his cover of “Dirt Road Anthem.” The song would later get a Grammy nomination for Best Country Solo Performance. “Dirt Road Anthem” is the best-selling song in digital history by a male country solo artist with over 4 million copies sold, making it certified 4x Platinum.

The song marked the third, consecutive #1 hit off of Aldean’s fourth album, My Kinda Party.
