ACM Awards Set for Sunday

The 53rd Annual ACM Awards are set for Sunday in Las Vegas, and it’s certainly going to be quite a show.

The show’s landed a star-studded list of performers including, Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Luke BryanKenny ChesneyDan + Shay, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, MidlandMaren Morris, Thomas Rhett, Darius Rucker, Carrie UnderwoodBrett Young and Chris Young.

The show will also have some exciting collaborations, including Florida Georgia Line and Bebe Rexha, performing their hit “Meant To Be,” Kane Brown and Lauren Alaina, performing their hit “What Ifs,” and Keith Urban and Julia Michaels, who’ll perform Keith’s latest single “Coming Home.”

There will also be an “ACM Flashbacks” segment, celebrating hit songs from 1993, with Toby Keith and Blake Shelton, who’ll perform, Toby’s “Should’ve Been A Cowboy,” Alan Jackson and Jon Pardi, who’ll perform Alan’s “Chattahoochee,” and host Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson, who’ll perform Reba’s “Does He Love You.”

  • Presenters for this year’s show include: David Boreanaz, Drew Brees, AJ Buckley, Cam, Sam Elliot, Eve, Ashton Kutcher, Dustin Lynch, Nancy O’DellRebecca Romijn, Max Thieriot and Lindsey Vonn.
  • Chris Stapleton leads the pack of this year’s nominees with eight nods in five categories, including the night’s big award, Entertainer of the Year, the first time he’s been recognized in that category. Other multiple nominees include Thomas Rhett with six, Keith Urban with five, including his eighth Entertainer of the Year nod, and Miranda Lambert and Maren Morris each nabbing four.
  • This year’s Entertainer of the Year category is decidedly male, with Chris and Keith set to go up against last year’s winner, Jason Aldean, as well as Garth Brooks, and Luke Bryan.
  • The 53rd Annual ACM Awards, hosted by Reba McEntire, airs on CBS at 8 pm, live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. This will be Reba’s 15th time hosting, and her first time since 2012.

Carrie Underwood To Make First Public Appearance At The ACM Awards

Carrie Underwood is finally ready to officially step back in the public eye. The singer has been added to Sunday’s ACM Awards, where she’s set to perform her new single, which will drop tomorrow. This will be Carrie’s first public performance since injuring her wrist and face in a fall at her home last year.

Carrie has yet to announce the name of the song, although she teased it with a picture of her eye with glitter dripping down from the bottom. Check out the photo below.

In addition to Carrie, the ACMs will feature performances by such stars as Lauren Alaina, Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Kelly Clarkson, Florida Georgia Line, Alan Jackson, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Midland, Maren Morris, Jon Pardi, Bebe Rexha, Thomas Rhett, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban and Brett Young.

BREAKING: New Artist Winners Announced for ACM Awards

Brothers Osborne, Maren Morris and Jon Pardi have been named as winners in new artist categories at the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards. Brothers Osborne earn their early win in the New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year category, while Morris and Pardi and been named New Female and New Male Vocalist of the Year, respectively. These awards mark the first ACM Award wins for each of these artists.

 

·         Each of these winners will also perform at the upcoming ACM Awards, which will be broadcast live from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on April 2, airing at 8:00 PM ET on CBS.

First Round of ACM Performers Announced

The first round of performers at the upcoming 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards has been announced and includes current ACM nominees Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, and Maren Morris. Additionally, the Backstreet Boys will make their debut appearance on the ACM stage, teaming up with FGL for a one-of-a-kind performance. Additional acts and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.

 

·         Hosted by Bryan and Bentley, the 2017 ACM Awards will be broadcast live from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on April 2 at 8:00 PM ET on CBS.

There’ll Be No Oscar-Style Snafu at ACMS For Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley

In light of the Best Picture snafu at the Academy Awards on Sunday (2/26), Dierks Bentley and Luke Bryan have a plan to create a diversion if their ACM Awards hosting isn’t going well. Dierks tells The Tennessean, “We have a plan. Luke’s going to have a wardrobe malfunction. At least that way everyone talks about that and not the show.” Luke then quips, “It’s sad nobody is talking about what happened at the Oscars. That’s our approach, Dierks — train wreck the show.”

 

·       Luke and Dierks will return to host the 52nd ACM Awards when it’s broadcast live from Las Vegas on Sunday, April 2 at 8PM ET on CBS.

52nd ACM Nominees Announced

Keith Urban earned a pack-leading seven nominations at the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards on Thursday (2/16), including his seventh nod for the coveted Entertainer of the Year award. Following close on Keith’s heels is Maren Morris and Miranda Lambert with six nominations apiece, and Florida Georgia Line and Tim McGraw, who each have five. Hosted for a second consecutive year by Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley, the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards will be broadcast live from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 2 at 8:00 PM ET CBS.

BREAKING: Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley Will Host ACM Awards

Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley will return to co-host the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards for the second straight year. The duo’s reprised roles were revealed during an ACM Awards promo that aired during the 59th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night (2/12). The 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards will broadcast live from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 2, airing at 8:00 PM, ET on CBS.

 

·         On Thursday (2/16), Lady Antebellum will appear on CBS This Morning to reveal the ACM nominees live during the show’s 8:00 AM hour.​

Jason Aldean To Be Honored With The ACM Triple Crown Award

Jason Aldean will be honored with the Academy of Country Music’s prestigious Triple Crown award during the 10th Annual ACM Honors Ceremony on August 30th.  The Triple Crown award is given to artists who have won for New Male/Female Vocalist of the Year, Male/Female Vocalist of the Year, and Entertainer of the Year.
