Thomas Rhett and Kelsea Ballerini Hosting CMA Music Festival Special

After hitting the road together all year on the “Home Team Tour,” Thomas Rhett and Kelsea Ballerini will soon join forces again to co-host the 2017 CMA Music Festival special on ABC. Rhett is returning as host for a second straight year, while Kelsea steps in for last year’s co-host, Brett Eldredge. The three-hour special will bring highlights from the annual festival to a national television audience and will air at a date later in the year. This year’s CMA Music Festival will take place on June 8-11 in downtown Nashville.

 

·         Kelsea and Thomas are also slated to perform on the Nissan Stadium stage this year, joining acts such as Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Brett Eldredge, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban and many more.

·         Kelsea took to Instagram after Thursday’s (4/20) announcement to say, “News is out! Not only do I get to play, I get to HOST CMA Fest with my brother @thomasrhettakins this summer. Gonna be funnnnn. Who will we see there??”

Additional Details Revealed for ACM Awards

With the upcoming ACM Awards just days away, the Academy of Country Music has announced the final list of performers, collaborations and special guest presenters at the ceremony. Brett Eldredge and Old Dominion have been added to the show’s lineup of solo performers, while Thomas Rhett and Maren Morris are set to join forces their new duet “Craving You.” Additionally, the presenters taking the stage this year will include Lauren Alaina, Kane Brown, Kacey Musgraves, and many more. BREAKING: CMA Fest Stadium Lineup Revealed

The Nightly Concert lineup at Nissan Stadium during CMA Music Festival was revealed this morning (3/17) on ABC’s Good Morning America. Taking the big stage this year will be Trace Adkins, John Anderson, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Brett Eldredge, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Tracy Lawrence, Little Big Town, Maren Morris, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Kenny Rogers, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Cole Swindell, Thomas Rhett, Keith Urban, and Chris Young.

 

·         The 2017 CMA Music Festival will take place June 8-11 in downtown Nashville.

Brett Eldredge Releases New Single “Somethin’ I’m Good At”

Brett Eldredge has released his brand-new single, “Somethin’ I’m Good At,” giving fans their first taste of his forthcoming studio album due out this summer. Written by Eldredge and Tom Douglas, “Somethin’ I’m Good At” is a song that Brett says matches his personality more than anything he’s ever written. Eldredge says, “It’s exciting to write and record a song that captures this side of me and this song is full of life and excitement. I hope everyone feels the way I do about it.”

Brett Eldredge Notches Sixth Consecutive #1

Brett Eldredge’s single “Wanna Be That Song” sits atop the country chart this week, giving Brett his sixth consecutive #1 song. Reacting to the chart-topping success, Eldredge said, “Getting to be ‘that song’ for my fans just makes this so much sweeter, better than any number one I’ve ever had. This is the song I’ve wanted to release for a long time so thank you to my team, my fans, country radio – and Merry Christmas!”

 

·         With its place atop the chart, “Wanna Be That Song” also becomes the last country radio #1 of 2016.

Tim McGraw And Faith Hill Pen Original Song For The Shack

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have written and recorded an original song for McGraw’s upcoming motion picture, The Shack. The couple’s new duet is titled “Keep Your Eyes on Me” and can be heard in the film’s first trailer, which premiered last week. The song is featured on the film’s official soundtrack, which also includes new songs from Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley and Brett Eldredge.

The new film is based on the William P. Young novel of same name and also stars Octavia Spencer, Sam Worthington and Graham Greene. The film will be released in theaters on March 3, 2017.

Brett Eldredge Is Releasing His First Christmas Album

When Brett Eldredge was a kid he dreamed of recording a Christmas album with all the classics, and now that holiday wish is coming true. Eldredge has announced the release of his very first Christmas album, which he says is a tip of the hat to artists such as Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Ray Charles. The album will hit shelves this fall, but the exact release date and title haven’t been revealed yet.

 

·         The new album will feature several Christmas standards, as well as an original song titled “Glow.”

·         When it came time to actually record the holiday album in May, Brett says he hung Christmas lights throughout the studio to get everyone in a festive spirit. Eldredge says, “Everyone was so inspired to make this classic record. I think it really shows in the songs and I can’t wait for people to hear that magic we found.”

·         Brett introduced the new album in a video posted on Instagram.

 

The CMA Music Festival Lineup Has Been Revealed

The lineup has been revealed for CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night To Rock. The show will feature solo performances by Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line, Rascal Flatts, Thomas Rhett, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Cole Swindell, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, and more. Brett Eldredge and Thomas Rhett will co-host the special, which will air on August 3rd at 7:00 pm on ABC.

CMT Announces New Category For CMT Music Awards

CMT has announced the brand new #SOCIALSUPERSTAR Category at the upcoming 2016 CMT Music Awards. The nominees for the inaugural #SOCIALSUPERSTAR award are Brett Eldredge, Blake Shelton, Jake Owen, Kelsea Ballerini, Lindsay Ell and Thomas Rhett.

Brett Eldredge’s single “Drunk On Your Love” has found the summit of the Country Aircheck/Mediabase Chart this week, giving Brett his 5th consecutive #1 song on that chart. Eldredge says, “I am constantly floored by the amazing support from my fans and country radio. Grateful is an understatement!”
