Grand Ole Opry Announces CMA Fest Week Kick Off

The Grand Ole Opry has announced their star-studded lineup hitting the stage as they kick off CMA Music Fest Week with back-to-back shows on June 6. The two evening shows will include acts such as Carrie Underwood, Dustin Lynch, Del McCoury and Bill Anderson, with the kick-off celebration also featuring a free Opry Plaza performance by Parmalee earlier in the afternoon.

 

·         CMA Music Fest Week will also include previously announced performances by Blake Shelton, Steve Wariner, Trace Adkins, Charley Pride, Roy Clark, Oak Ridge Boys, Scotty McCreery, Brandy Clark and Sara Evans.

Trace Adkins and Kris Kristofferson Co-Star In New Western

Trace Adkins and Kris Kristofferson will reunite as co-stars in a new western film coming to theaters this summer. The film, titled Hickok, centers on the infamous outlaw Wild Bill Hickok as he tries to escape his past by settling in the small town of Abilene, Kansas. Hickok will be played by actor Luke Hemsworth, while Kristofferson portrays Abilene’s mayor and Adkins plays a powerful saloon owner who puts a bounty on Wild Bill’s head. Hickok will be released in select theaters, as well as On Demand and Digital HD, on July 7.

Blake Shelton Will Play Opry During CMA Fest Week

If you aren’t able to see Blake Shelton play the Nissan Stadium stage during CMA Music Festival this year, you might still have a chance to see him perform that week. That’s because Blake has just been announced as a performer at the Grand Ole Opry on Thursday, June 8 – one day before he’s set to take the Nissan Stadium stage. Shelton will be joined by fellow Opry members Trace Adkins and the Oak Ridge Boys along with Tracy Lawrence. Tickets will go on sale this Friday (5/5) at 12:00 PM local time at opry.com.

BREAKING: CMA Fest Stadium Lineup Revealed

The Nightly Concert lineup at Nissan Stadium during CMA Music Festival was revealed this morning (3/17) on ABC’s Good Morning America. Taking the big stage this year will be Trace Adkins, John Anderson, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Brett Eldredge, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Tracy Lawrence, Little Big Town, Maren Morris, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Kenny Rogers, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Cole Swindell, Thomas Rhett, Keith Urban, and Chris Young.

 

·         The 2017 CMA Music Festival will take place June 8-11 in downtown Nashville.

The Grand Ole Opry Hosts Its Star-Studded CRS Show

On Wednesday night (2/22), the Grand Ole Opry hosted a star-studded show for everyone in town for the 3-day Country Radio Seminar (CRS) in Nashville. The event was held in Omni Nashville Hotel’s Broadway Ballroom and included performances by Zac Brown Band, Lady Antebellum, Trace Adkins, Crystal Gayle, Chris Janson, LOCASH, Cam, Michael Ray, Chris Lane, Carly Pearce and Dailey & Vincent. To make the show more authentic, the Opry even transformed the hotel’s Broadway Ballroom with its signature barn backdrop and famous microphone stands.

Trace Adkins Donates To Louisana Flood Relief Efforts

Louisiana native Trace Adkins will donate proceeds from his Saturday night concert (9/16) in Vinton, Louisiana, to the American Red Cross. Adkins’ donation will specifically fund relief efforts in his home state after historic flooding killed 13 people and resulted in more than $8 billion in damages in August.  Trace has been an avid supporter of the American Red Cross ever since the humanitarian organization was quick to offer help after the singer’s house burned down five years ago.

 

·       In the past, Trace has been named a spokesman for the American Red Cross and even competed on behalf of the humanitarian organization on NBC’s All-Star Celebrity Apprentice.
