Jake Owen was presented with the prestigious Arnie Award on Tuesday night (2/7) as part of Golf Digest’s annual “Golfers Who Give Back” event during the Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf tournament in California. NFL great Peyton Manning and champion golfer Phil Mickelson joined Jake as recipients of the prestigious award, which is named after the late golfing legend Arnold Palmer. Owen’s parents, Steve and Mitzi Owen, were also in the audience for Tuesday night’s ceremony.
· Owen got a little emotional after legendary sports broadcaster Jim Nantz called him to the stage to accept to the award. Jake said, “I don’t do things for awards, but this is by far the most humbling think I could ever achieve.”
· Jake also opened up about what the Arnie Award means to him in a lengthy message on Instagram.
