The Grand Ole Opry has announced their star-studded lineup hitting the stage as they kick off CMA Music Fest Week with back-to-back shows on June 6. The two evening shows will include acts such as Carrie Underwood, Dustin Lynch, Del McCoury and Bill Anderson, with the kick-off celebration also featuring a free Opry Plaza performance by Parmalee earlier in the afternoon.
· CMA Music Fest Week will also include previously announced performances by Blake Shelton, Steve Wariner, Trace Adkins, Charley Pride, Roy Clark, Oak Ridge Boys, Scotty McCreery, Brandy Clark and Sara Evans.
If you aren’t able to see Blake Shelton play the Nissan Stadium stage during CMA Music Festival this year, you might still have a chance to see him perform that week. That’s because Blake has just been announced as a performer at the Grand Ole Opry on Thursday, June 8 – one day before he’s set to take the Nissan Stadium stage. Shelton will be joined by fellow Opry members Trace Adkins and the Oak Ridge Boys along with Tracy Lawrence. Tickets will go on sale this Friday (5/5) at 12:00 PM local time at opry.com.
Blake Shelton made a surprise appearance on the Grand Ole Opry Tuesday night (4/11), joining an already star-studded lineup that included Keith Urban and Rascal Flatts. Blake took the stage to perform hits such as “Ol’ Red” and “Honey Bee,” as well as a collaboration with the Oak Ridge Boys on their signature song, “Elvira.” Blake later took to Facebook Live to talk about his surprise Opry performance, as well as his “Doin’ It To Country Songs Tour” and Billboard Music Awards nominations.
· The night was also special for Urban as it marked his fifth anniversary as an Opry member. Keith celebrated the occasion by performing his chart-topper “Blue Ain’t Your Color.”
There’s a song on Blake Shelton’s new album, If I’m Honest, that features vocals from the Oak Ridge Boys. The track is called “Doing It To Country Songs.” Blake says the guys strived for perfection, “We finally had to go like, guys, it’s good, its good enough! I mean, you can’t get it better!’ Until finally it’s like, ‘Man, I’m tired! You guys nailed it on the second take anyway.'”
