On this day in 2015, Blake Shelton’s “Gonna” was sitting on top of the Billboard Country Airplay charts. The song was the fourth and final single from Shelton’s ninth studio album, Bringing Back the Sunshine. “Gonna” was his 16th consecutive No. 1 on the chart.
“Doing It To Country Songs Tour” – Blake Shelton
Blake Shelton will hit the road next year on his headlining “Doing It To Country Songs Tour,” which kicks off in Bakersfield, California, on February 16 and runs through mid-March. Blake’s 13-city tour will once again feature special guest RaeLynn, who joined him earlier this year on his fall tour. Shelton made the announcement last week, joining his friend RaeLynn for a “Newlyweds” style game on Facebook Live.
Tickets for the Bakersfield, Portland, Sacramento, San Jose and Chicago shows will go on sale beginning December 2, with the remaining dates going on sale December 9.

On this day in 2014, Warner Bros. released Blake Shelton’s collaboration with Ashley Monroe, “Lonely Tonight,” to radio. The song was released as the second single from Shelton’s eighth studio album, Bringing Back the Sunshine.
“Lonely Tonight” reached #1 on the charts and was Shelton’s 14th consecutive number one. The song would later be Certified Gold by the RIAA in 2015.
2016 American Music Awards Nominees Announced
The nominees for the 2016 American Music Awards (AMA) were announced on Monday morning (10/10), with some of country’s hottest stars earning nods at the annual show. Carrie Underwood leads the country pack with three nominations, including a nod in the all-genre Artist of the Year category. Underwood’s other nominations include Favorite Female Artist – Country and Favorite Album – Country for her Storyteller project. Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett and Florida Georgia Line were each double nominees at the show, with Blake Shelton, Kelsea Ballerini, Cam, Chris Stapleton, Old Dominion, Zac Brown Band and Tim McGraw also earning nods. The 2016 American Music Awards will broadcast live on November 20 at 8 PM ET on ABC.

Came Here To Celebrate A #1– Blake Shelton
Blake Shelton was in Nashville on Tuesday (8/30) to celebrate the success of his 22nd #1 song, “Came Here to Forget.” The #1 party was held at the ASCAP offices on Music Row, where Shelton celebrated with the song’s writers — Deric Ruttan and Craig Wiseman — as well as members of his label and management teams. Blake’s good friend and Warner Music Nashville label mate RaeLynn also attended the party to help congratulate the group.
· During the party, the group also celebrated Shelton’s latest studio album, If I’m Honest, earning a Gold certification. Warner Music Nashville Chairman/CEO John Esposito and CMO Peter Strickland were on hand to present Shelton with a plaque commemorating the milestone.
ACM Honors Performers Announced
Alicia Keys,Miranda Lambert,Chris Young, Dan + Shay and The Band Perry have been added to the list of performers for Tuesday (8/30) night’s 10th Annual ACM Honors.Also, Mike Fisher, Emmylou Harris, Martina McBride and Thomas Rhett will present at the ceremony taking place at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium.
· Previously announced performers include Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Cam, Toby Keith, Maren Morris, Blake Shelton, Cole Swindell, Keith Urban and hosts Lady Antebellum.
· The 10TH ACM Honors is an evening dedicated to celebrating the special honorees and off-camera category winners from the 51st Academy of Country Music Awards.
· Hosted by multi-ACM Award-winning group Lady Antebellum, the two-hour special will tape on Tuesday, August 30 at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium, and make its television debut on September 9 on CBS.

On this day in 2010, Blake Shelton’s “Six Pak” album, All About Tonight, grabbed the top spot on the Billboard Country Albums chart. The album also debuted at #6 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The album produced two number ones with “All About Tonight” and “Who Are You When I’m Not Looking”.
“All About Tonight,” was released to radio in April 2010 and has become his seventh Number One hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. The album’s second single, “Who Are You When I’m Not Looking”
Blake Shelton Talks Touring With RaeLynn And Her New Single
Blake Shelton took to Twitter yesterday (8/16) to say some nice things about his good friend and label mate RaeLynn. Shelton began the video message by listing some of the reasons why he asked RaeLynn to join him out on tour this fall. Blake said, “First of all, because she’s amazing, and I think the more people that have a chance to see her and hear her perform the better off they’ll be for hearing her.”
- Blake then talked about RaeLynn’s new single “Love Triangle,” a song which she wrote about her experience growing up with divorced parents. Shelton said, “I listen to it and relate to it from personal experience. And I think that everybody out there who’s from a family who’s gone through a divorce, you know, it’s not the end of the world, but there’s a pain there and there’s also a lot to think about from the standpoint of a child and this song is written from the standpoint of a child.”
- RaeLynn will hit the road with Blake starting with a show in Oklahoma City on September 9.

Blake Shelton will be in New York City on Friday morning (8/5) to perform on the Today Show Summer Concert Series. Shelton will take over the city’s Rockefeller Plaza to perform several songs from the latest album, If I’m Honest, as well as treat fans to a few classic songs.
