Gwen Stefani Recalls Blake Shelton Telling Her About His Divorce

In a recent interview with Howard Stern, Gwen Stefani recalled the moment Blake Shelton told her he was getting divorced fromMiranda Lambert. Gwen said she “went white” when Shelton told The Voice team of his divorce last summer, especially since she was going through the same thing with singer Gavin Rossdale at the time. Stefani said, “I was in shock, because I felt like he was exposing me. I just couldn’t even wrap my head around it. I didn’t want anyone to know what was going on with me… I had this huge weight on me and nobody but my parents and obviously everybody involved knew.”

·       But Gwen says she soon confided in Blake and opened up to him about what she was going through. Stefani says, “It was during that time, he came up to my chair… I never saw him look so upset. So then I was like, ‘I gotta talk to you.'”

The song was Blake’s fist single from his sixth studio album Red River Blue. “Honey Bee” sold 138,000 digital downloads it’s first week, setting a new record for first week downloads by a male country singer. Because of these download numbers, “Honey Bee” debuted at number thirteen on the Billboard Hot 100, making him the highest-debuting male country artist on that chart since Garth Brooks.
