Performers and Host Announced for CMT Music Awards

The first round of performers at the 2017 CMT Music Awards has been announced and includes Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett and Brett Eldredge. Nashville star Charles Esten has also been named as the host of the fan-voted award show, which airs live from Nashville on Wednesday, June 7 at 8:00 PM ET. Additional performers, presenters and special guests will be announced soon.

 

·         Nominations will be announced on Tuesday, May 9, and fan voting begins the same day at CMT.com.

·         Esten announced the news with a video posted on Instagram Monday morning (5/1).

Gwen Stefani’s Face On The Empire State Building – Blake Shelton

Blake Shelton might have a tall order ahead of him if he wants to impress his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, anytime soon. That’s because Harper’s Bazaar recently projected a giant image of Stefani onto the Empire State Building in New York City in honor of the publication’s 150th anniversary. While Shelton is certainly proud of Gwen, he also knows that the bar might’ve been raised. Blake shared a picture Gwen’s image on the skyscraper and wrote, “Ok…To whomever put my girlfriends picture on the Empire State Building thanks a lot…. How can I top that sh**?!!”

 

  • Harper’s Bazaarhas been projecting some of their most iconic images onto the skyscraper in honor of their anniversary.

Stefani’s image was featured on the publication’s cover in 2012.

 

Blake Shelton Makes A Surprise Opry Appearance

Blake Shelton made a surprise appearance on the Grand Ole Opry Tuesday night (4/11), joining an already star-studded lineup that included Keith Urban and Rascal Flatts. Blake took the stage to perform hits such as “Ol’ Red” and “Honey Bee,” as well as a collaboration with the Oak Ridge Boys on their signature song, “Elvira.” Blake later took to Facebook Live to talk about his surprise Opry performance, as well as his “Doin’ It To Country Songs Tour” and Billboard Music Awards nominations.

 

·       The night was also special for Urban as it marked his fifth anniversary as an Opry member. Keith celebrated the occasion by performing his chart-topper “Blue Ain’t Your Color.”

Outtake Video of The Voice is Released

As the Battle Rounds portion of Season 12 of The Voice gets underway, a new outtake video has been released showing a few of the funny moments that didn’t make the show. The video counts down the “Top 10 moments you didn’t see” on the current season, including several clips highlighting the well-known banter between Blake Shelton and his team’s advisor, Luke Bryan. BREAKING: CMA Fest Stadium Lineup Revealed

The Nightly Concert lineup at Nissan Stadium during CMA Music Festival was revealed this morning (3/17) on ABC’s Good Morning America. Taking the big stage this year will be Trace Adkins, John Anderson, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Brett Eldredge, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Tracy Lawrence, Little Big Town, Maren Morris, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Kenny Rogers, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Cole Swindell, Thomas Rhett, Keith Urban, and Chris Young.

 

·         The 2017 CMA Music Festival will take place June 8-11 in downtown Nashville.

Blake Shelton Sings TLC’s “Waterfalls” With The Voice Coaches

In a new promo video for Season 12 of The Voice, Blake Shelton joined his fellow coaches Gwen Stefani, Alicia Keys and Adam Levine to perform an acoustic rendition of TLC’s hit “Waterfalls.” The video shows the coaches sitting in a circle as they each take turns singing the song’s verses and come together to sing the chorus.  The video can be seen here.

 

·       Season 12 of The Voice will premiere on NBC tonight (2/27).

·       Luke Bryan will serve as a mentor for Shelton’s team during the battle rounds portion of the show’s new season.

Blake Shelton Makes History At People’s Choice Awards

Blake Shelton made history on Wednesday night (1/18) when he became the first country artist to win in the all-genre Favorite Album category at the People’s Choice Awards. Aside from earning the coveted Favorite Album award for his latest record, If I’m Honest, Shelton also took home his second consecutive trophy for Favorite Male Country Artist.

 

·         Reacting to his historic win, Blake said, “I could not be more thankful. All I’ve ever wanted to do is sing country music, so to win Favorite Male Country Artist is incredible. And to be the first country artist to ever win Favorite Album is beyond words.”

·         Some of the other country winners at the People’s Choice Awards were Carrie Underwood, who won Favorite Female Country Artist, and Little Big Town, who took home the Favorite Country Group trophy.

 

Blake Shelton Secures His 23rd #1 Song

Blake Shelton’s single “A Guy With A Girl” has hit the top of the Billboard Country Airplay Chart this week, giving Blake his 23rd career #1 song. Reacting to his latest chart-topper, Shelton said, “I’ve been in this business long enough to know that a number one single should be celebrated and never taken for granted. I’m just as excited about ‘Guy With A Girl’ going No. 1 as I was ‘Austin.’

Blake Shelton Adds A New “Voice” To His Tour

Blake Shelton is adding another former contestant from NBC’s The Voice to his 2017 “Doing It To Country Songs Tour.” Already set to hit the road with Season 2 Voice alum RaeLynn, Shelton announced on Wednesday (1/11) that the show’s Season 11 champion, Sundance Head, would now join the trek. The tour will kick off in Bakersfield, California, on February 16 and will continue through March.

 

·       Blake says of his tour mates, “Having RaeLynn on the tour again is terrific, and I’m thrilled Sundance is joining and bringing his incredible musical talents.”

·       Sundance says, “I’m just elated and really excited about being able to perform with a great entertainer and learn something from him while I’m on the road. It’s going to be the most fun thing I’ve ever done.”
