Chris Stapleton’s New Album Has A Big Debut

Chris Stapleton’s new album, From A Room: Volume 1, has made a big debut on the album charts, selling 202,000 copies in its first week. Not only did Stapleton’s sophomore record debut at #1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart, but it also notched the #2 spot on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. The album also becomes the highest-selling country debut since Luke Bryan’s Kill the Lights album sold 320,000 copies in its first week in 2015.

 

·         But Chris doesn’t just hold the #1 spot on the country albums chart. His debut record, Traveller, also sits at #2 on the chart, with sales of 24,000 copies. This marks only the second time that a male artist has held the chart’s 1st and 2nd positions in the same week since 1993.

November 16th: On This Day

On this day in 2015, Capitol released the Luke Bryan single “Home Alone Tonight,” featuring Karen Fairchild, to radio. The song was released off of his fifth studio album, Kill the Lights.

The song reached number on the US Country Airplay charts and would later be Certified Gold.

The song was also nominated for a CMA Award.

August 17th: On This Day

On this day in 2015, Luke Bryan’s “Kick the Dust Up” was going through its second week on top of the Billboard Country Airplay Charts. The song was the lead single to Bryan’s fifth studio album, Kill the Lights, and was his thirteenth number one single.

Earlier this year (2016) “Kick The Dust Up” was Certified Platinum.

Luke Bryan has hit No.1 on both country singles charts with “Huntin’, Fishin’, and Loving’ Every Day,” his 16th career No. 1 single and fourth consecutive No. 1 single from his fifth studio album, Kill The Lights. Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day” also inspired Luke’s recently released new collection of apparel, HFE, available exclusively at Cabela’s.

Luke Bryan Hits #1 With “Huntin’, Fishin’ And Lovin’ Every Day”

Luke Bryan’s single “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day” has reached the summit of both country singles charts this week, giving Bryan his 16th career #1 song and the fourth consecutive chart-topper from his latest album, Kill The Lights. Bryan learned of his latest #1 right before he co-hosted on NBC’s Today show yesterday (6/20), where he revealed the cover, title and release date of his first-ever Farm Tour EP, Farm Tour…Here’s To The Farmer.
