On this day in 2014, Capitol Released Darius Rucker’s single “Homegrown Honey,” co-written with Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley, to radio. The song was the first single from Rucker’s fifth studio album, Southern Style.
The song would go straight to the top of the charts.
On this day in 2014, CBS aired “ACM Presents: An All-Star Salute To The Troops” with George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum, Toby Keith, Lee Brice, Dierks Bentley and Merle Haggard. The ACM would later announce that a $650,000 contribution to ACM Lifting Lives, was made on behalf of the artists who participated in the taping.
On this day in 2010, Lady Antebellum captured an 11th week at the top of Billboard’s Country Albums Chart with Need You Now.

On this day in 2010, Lady Antebellum’s Need You Now album continued to top the Country Albums and on the All-Genre Billboard Top 200. Lady A was at #3, but the project was still selling more than 100 thousand copies each week. The album would go on to be certified 4× Platinum.
On this day in 2011, Lady Antebellum was back on top of the Billboard Country Albums Chart with Need You Know selling another 85,000 copies. Lady A. was fresh off of winning five Grammy Awards.

Thomas Rhett commands the radio charts once again this week, spending a fifth consecutive week at number one on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart with “Die A Happy Man.” Most recently accomplished in 2009, it was Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now” that last maintained five weeks on top of the same chart.
Charles Kelley has announced that his debut solo studio album, The Driver, will be released on February 5th. The Driver will be Charles’ first album released without his Lady Antebellum bandmates, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood. Kelley shares, “At first, it was really weird to go in the booth and be like, ‘Where’s Hillary? Where’s Dave? But it was very exciting to be the leader in there and go, “This is it, I’m doing this.'”
