Darius Rucker’s “If I Told You” Tops the Chart

Darius Rucker has topped the country chart for the eighth time, bringing his single “If I Told You” to the No.1 spot this week. The chart-topping news came as Rucker was rounding out a huge CMA Fest week, which included a Nightly Concert performance at Nissan Stadium on Sunday night (6/11). Darius celebrated his new No. 1 song by bringing Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild onstage with him during his stadium set for a duet of “If I Told You.” Rucker told the packed crowd, “Thank you for believing in this song!”

On this day in 2016, Luke Bryan and Karen Fairchild’s “Home Alone Tonight” duet was sitting on top of the Billboard Country Airplay charts. The song became Bryan’s thirteenth consecutive (and fifteenth overall) number one single.

Bryan and Fairchild performed the song live at the 2015 American Music Awards.

On this day in 2015, Capitol released the Luke Bryan single “Home Alone Tonight,” featuring Karen Fairchild, to radio. The song was released off of his fifth studio album, Kill the Lights.

The song reached number on the US Country Airplay charts and would later be Certified Gold.

The song was also nominated for a CMA Award.

Little Big Town has tapped Pharrell Williams to produce their forthcoming studio album Wanderlust, which is set to drop June 10th. The group’s Karen Fairchild says the new album evolved out of the friendship and chemistry they share with Williams.

Charles Kelley is the focus of a police investigation in a new hilarious spoof video that was released in support of his debut solo album, The Driver, which is out today. The video begins with a local Nashville news anchor telling people to be on the lookout for Charles. The reporter says authorities are interrogating several suspects who happen to be Darius Rucker, Hunter Hayes, Eric Paslay and Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild and Jimi Westbrook.
