One lucky Jake Owen fan will have an experience of a lifetime this weekend thanks to Twitter. Jake took to social media yesterday afternoon (7/8) to recruit one of his followers for a spur of the moment road trip with him, and David West of Smyrna, Tennessee, was the fan lucky enough to get picked. Owen initially tweeted, “Anyone wanna take spontaneous road trip??… Like a right now, drop everything, only live once kind of trip. Let’s go.” To which West replied, “@jakeowen where we going?” Jake then told David that he and a buddy could accompany him on his tour bus this weekend as they drive to the Hodag Country Music Festival in Wisconsin.

· Owen filmed his phone conversation with West in a Facebook Live video, which was shot during a meeting with members of his record label in Nashville.
· Owen also told West to bring the “sweet” clothes iron that appears in his Twitter profile picture.
