Darius Rucker will return to host the ACM Lifting Lives Golf Classic for the fifth consecutive year as part of the events surround the 51st Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas next month. The event will take place at the TPC Las Vegas Golf Course on April 2nd.

It hasn’t even been a full year since Darius Rucker released his fourth country album, Southern Style, but Darius says he’s already looking forward to that album’s follow-up. He tells the boot, “We’re working on it. We’re always writing for the next record. I will take a break sometime, but not right now; I don’t feel like it right now.”

The Front And Center Television Series will film two brand-new episodes of the CMA Songwriters Series on Monday, August 24th at Marathon Music Works in Nashville. The first episode will feature Darius Rucker and Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley. A second episode will feature Brett Eldredge and Ronnie Dunn.

Darius Rucker Buys A Thousand Horses and Brett Eldredge Playstation 4’s
Darius Rucker has bought each of his “Southern Style Tour” openers a Playstation 4 to battle him on the road in a Madden Football League. Rucker bought A Thousand Horses and Brett Eldredge the consoles because, he says, “I don’t want excuses when I’m whoopin’ people, that they didn’t have a Playstation 4.”
June 2nd: On This Day
On this day in 2014, the fifth annual Darius Rucker and Friends Benefit raised $120,000 for St. Jude Children’s Reseach Hospital at Nashville’s Wildhorse Saloon. Through the years, the concert has raised more than $439,000 for the life-saving pediatric care provider.
The 2015 event is set for June 8 at the Wildhorse Saloon.
