Keith Urban notched his 19th number 1 song this week as “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16” took the top spot on the Country Aircheck/ Mediabase Country Chart. Urban’s first song, and first#1 to come from his forthcoming 2016 album release, the song also set an historic country radio mark with the highest one-week spin count and point total in Country Aircheck/ Mediabase History.
Keith Urban Celebrates Success of “Raise ‘Em Up”
Keith Urban was in Nashville Wednesday to celebrate the success of his single “Raise ‘Em Up” at a number one party held at the Sutler. Keith knew his song was special when he first cut it in the studio with Eric Church. The song is also nominated for a CMA in the Musical Event Category this year.

On this day in 2003, Keith Urban achieved Platinum with his album Golden Road. The album included the singles “Raining on Sunday,” that reached number three on the US Country Charts, as well as “Somebody Like You,” “Who Wouldn’t Wanna Be Me,” and “You’ll Think Of Me,” which all hit number one on the US Country Charts.
Keith Urban Meets With Education Through Music Students
While Keith Urban was in New York City last Friday to perform on the NBC Today Show Summer Concert Series, He made a couple of other important stop around the city both before and after the show to meet Education Through Music students from the Bronx. The middle-school students are the recipients of a donation of guitars by Urban, made possible through the CMA Foundation’s Music Education Matters Initiative.

Both songs were singles off of Urban’s “Be Here” album. “Tonight I Wanna Cry,” was co-wrote by Keith and peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot Country chart, while “Stupid Boy” reached number 3 on the charts, and Urban covered the song at the suggestion of his wife, actress Nicole Kidman.
Keith Urban Participating In NBC’s Red Nose Day
Keith Urban will participate in NBC’s star-studded event, Red Nose Day, this evening (5/21). The three-hour special, airing at 7 pm ET/ 6 pm C, will raise money and help fight childhood poverty.
Keith will partner with John Mellencamp to perform “Pink Houses” on the show.
Brad Paisley Releases Video For “Crushin’ It”
Brad Paisley has released a new animated music video for his single “Crushin’ It.”
The Parody video features a superhero squad called The Agents of Crush, who are described as an “Elite team of weekend vigilantes undercover as country singers.”
Brad’s superhero codename is “Steel Moonshiner” and some of the other country superheroes include Kenny Chesney as “Agua Man,” Carrie Underwood as “Carrie Underwoman,” Keith Urban as “Captain Australia,” Luke Bryan as “Flash Smiley” and Jason Aldean as “Jason All-Green,” who’s made to resemble Marvel’s The Hulk.
Keith Urban Tops The Chart Again
Keith Urban has found the top of the chart again this week with his single “Raise ‘Em Up,” featuring Eric Church.
The song raises his total of #1’s to eighteen. The song is Keith’s fourth #1 from his album Fuse, which also includes the chart-toppers “Little Bit of Everything, “We Were Us” and “Somewhere In My Car.”
