Chris Stapleton Opening For Guns N’ Roses In Nashville

Chris Stapleton will open for Guns N’ Roses when the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers bring their show to Nashville’s Nissan Stadium on July 9th. In April, both Stapleton and Guns N’ Roses were on the bill at the 2016 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California.

On this day in 2015, Mercury released Chris Stapleton’s debut solo album, Traveller. The project has now won Album of the Year at the CMA’s, ACMS and the Grammys.

On this day in 2015, Mercury Records released Chris Stapleton’s single “Traveller” to radio. The song has since won a Grammy for Stapleton for Best Country Solo Performance.

Chris Stapleton Headlining Free Concert

Chris Stapleton will head to his hometown community of Paintsville, Kentucky, next week to give a free concert at a local high school. The concert will take place on March 24th in the gymnasium of Johnson Central High School and will be presented in partnership with Ram Trucks’ “Hometown Heroes” Campaign.

Just one month after he won a couple of CMA Awards in Nashville, Including Album Of The Year for his Traveller work, Chris Stapleton awoke to the news Monday morning (12/7) that he was a multiple Grammy Nominee for Best Country Album again for his Traveller Project, Best Country Song for “Traveller” and Best Country Solo Performance for “Traveller.” The Grammy’s will take place on February 15, 2016.

Chris Stapleton’s Traveller continues to dominate on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart. His CMA Album Of The Year sold 97,000 copies in pure album sales to land at number one on both  the overall and country charts.

Chris Stapleton’s album Traveller has taken the #1 spot on the All-Genre Billboard 200 Albums Chart, selling roughly 140,000 copies last week. The surge in album sales came after Chris had a big night at the 49th Annual CMA Awards on Wednesday (11/4), winning trophies in all three categories he was nominated in and giving one of the most talked-about performances of the night with pop star Justin Timberlake.
