Rascal Flatts Announce New Album on Ellen

Rascal Flatts made an appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show on Friday (3/3), where they announced the release of their tenth studio, Back To Us. Hitting shelves on May 19, Back To Us is project that the trio says is more reminiscent of their first albums. Jay DeMarcus says, “Back To Us is not only a title of a song on the album, but a feeling that has been building around this new music.  It just fits in so many ways.”

 

·       During their visit on Ellen, the trio performed the lead single from the forthcoming album titled “Yours If You Want It.”

There’ll Be No Oscar-Style Snafu at ACMS For Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley

In light of the Best Picture snafu at the Academy Awards on Sunday (2/26), Dierks Bentley and Luke Bryan have a plan to create a diversion if their ACM Awards hosting isn’t going well. Dierks tells The Tennessean, “We have a plan. Luke’s going to have a wardrobe malfunction. At least that way everyone talks about that and not the show.” Luke then quips, “It’s sad nobody is talking about what happened at the Oscars. That’s our approach, Dierks — train wreck the show.”

 

·       Luke and Dierks will return to host the 52nd ACM Awards when it’s broadcast live from Las Vegas on Sunday, April 2 at 8PM ET on CBS.

Man Takes Plea Deal in Des Moines Chase Crash Death Case

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — An April sentencing hearing is scheduled for a Des Moines man charged with the crash death of another man during a police chase.

Online court records say 35-year-old Darnell Browder pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide while intoxicated and causing serious injury while driving intoxicated. Prosecutors dropped other charges in exchange for Browder’s pleas. His sentencing is set for April 27.

The charges stemmed from a brief chase by police Aug. 14 that ended when Browder crashed into another vehicle, killing 41-year-old Jason Hunt. A passenger in Hunt’s car was injured, as were Browder and a passenger in his car.

BREAKING – Carrie Underwood’s House is Damaged in a Storm

Carrie Underwood was affected by the tornadoes and storms that slammed much of the Nashville area on Wednesday morning (3/1). She took to Twitter to share, “Woke up to tornado sirens and hail…our chimney is currently in our driveway…tree limbs everywhere…feels like home. #okie” While Middle Tennessee did sustain much damage in the storms, there were no reports of any deaths at this point.

 

Jason Aldean Celebrates 40th Birthday With A Hockey Game

Jason Aldean’s wife, Brittany, surprised her hubby with a special trip to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, for his 40th birthday. While Jason celebrated his big 4-0 yesterday (2/28), the party actually got started on Monday (2/27) with Jason taking the ice to play hockey with a few of his buddies. Brittany took to Instagram to share a picture of Jason and his crew at the ice rink wearing hockey uniforms emblazoned with Aldean’s signature jack and ace of spades logo. Brittney also shared a picture of the two leaning in for a kiss in the locker room.

Psychiatrist Gets 2-Month Sentence for Health Care Fraud

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — A Grinnell psychiatrist has been given two months in prison for health care fraud.

Prosecutors say Dr. Richard Hauser was sentenced Tuesday in Des Moines. He’d pleaded guilty in October. He also was ordered to pay nearly $31,000 in restitution.

Prosecutors say Hauser operated a clinic under the name Prevention Systems Inc. and did business as The Hauser Clinic. His plea agreement says that beginning by at least November 2011 and through December 2012, Hauser submitted false claims to Iowa Medicaid and Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Iowa for more expensive services that weren’t performed.
