Moonshine in the Trunk was Paisley’s eighth album to hit number one on Billboard’s Country chart.

August 16th: On This Day

On this day in 2005, Brad Paisley released his fourth album, Time Well Wasted. The album produced three #1 hits with “When I Get Where I’m Going”, “The World”, and “She’s Everything”. The CMA would name Time Well Wasted the 2006 Album of the Year.

Paisley’s album has since gone Double Platinum.

Brad Paisley And Carrie Underwood Will Host 50th Annual CMA Awards

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will return to host the 50th Annual CMA Awards this November, marking the pair’s ninth consecutive year as co-hosts of the ceremony. Country music’s biggest night will return for its golden anniversary on November 2nd when it airs live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena at 7:00 pm on ABC.

Brad Paisley: “There are no words to describe the loss & sorrow felt within all of music with the passing of Merle Haggard. Thank god for his life & songs.”

Dolly Parton: “We’ve lost one of the greatest writers and singers of all time. His heart was as tender as his love ballads. I loved him like a brother. Rest easy, Merle.”

Brad Paisley Makes Surprise Visit To The Grand Ole Opry

Brad Paisley made a surprise visit to the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday Night (1/2) to honor one of his best friends, Opry star Little Jimmy Dickens. Paisley’s visit marked the one-year anniversary of Dickens’ death on January 2nd, 2015 at the age of 94. Paisley sang some of Dickens’ best known tunes.
