FAIRFIELD – Two people were arrested in Fairfield on Tuesday night after they were allegedly found in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia in the parking lot of a business.
The Fairfield Police Department says that on Tuesday night (7/7/26) at around 10:37pm, officers conducted an investigation in the 1600 block of West Burlington Avenue after observing suspicious activity involving two individuals parked in a vehicle at a business.
During the investigation, officers reportedly observed drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the vehicle.
A subsequent search of the vehicle and its occupants resulted in the discovery of controlled substances on both the driver and passenger sides of the vehicle.
The individuals were identified as 48-year-old Timothy Daniel Fluharty of Brighton and 38-year-old Hollie Marie Brake of Wayland. Both were taken into custody without incident, and both were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance – 3rd or Subsequent Offense (class D felony). Brake was additionally charged with 2 counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor).
