Thomas Rhett officially kicks off his “Bring the Bar to You Tour” and he’s decided not to take the whole family out with him this summer. He came to that decision with the help of Walker Hayes, who gave him some very good advice on the subject.
Thomas said he asked Walker, who has six kids of his own, how he could take his four daughters, all under six, out with him and Walker simply told him “you can’t.”
“Walker‘s kids are older,” Thomas explains. “They can eat by themselves, they can use the bathroom by themselves, they can put themselves to bed. Mine, on the other hand, are kinda all over the place age-wise.”
Thomas does think that his two older daughters, Willa and Ada “are old enough now to travel with me,” because they may let him “sleep until like nine” so they may come out for some shows.
“My whole family will come to like Red Rocks and do some really cool bucket list moment type shows,” he explains. “But for the most part, we’ll be out there writin’ songs, and when the kids do decide to come out we’ll take melatonin.”
