The 2020 CMT Awards are happening tonight, and it’s bound to be a great night of music.
The show, hosted by Kane Brown, Ashley McBryde and Sarah Hyland, as well as one more yet-to-be named host, will feature performances by Ashley, Kane, Dan + Shay, Little Big Town, Luke Bryan, Maren Morris, Sam Hunt, Shania Twain, Gabby Barrett, Jimmie Allen andNoah Cyrus, Kelsea Ballerini and Halsey, Luke Combs and Brooks & Dunn, and Morgan Wallen.
In addition, six breakout artists – Caylee Hammack, HARDY, Ingrid Andress, Mickey Guyton, Riley Green and Travis Denning – will perform on the Ram Trucks Side Stage.
This year’s presenters include Taylor Swift, Brandi Carlile, Demi Lovato, Diplo, Idina Menzel, Jessica Chastain, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Rob Thomas and Tanya Tucker.
In addition to the regular awards, CMT just announced that Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles will be honored with the first honorary Equal Play Awards for her outspokenness and advocacy for women in country music.
Luke Combs, and Kelsea Ballerini lead the list of nominees with three a piece, while Dan + Shay, Sam Hunt, Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood, Ashley McBryde, Gabby Barrett, Kane Brown, Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert, Old Dominion and The Chicks, also have multiple nominations.
