Miranda Lambert’s New Album Debuts At #1

Miranda Lambert’s sixth studio album, The Weight Of These Wings, has debuted atop the Billboard Country Albums Chart, selling more than 122,000 copies in its first week out. The Weight Of These Wings also lands at #3 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 Chart, making Lambert’s double album the highest charting country record from a female artist since Carrie Underwood’s Storyteller was released last year.

· Miranda’s big debut comes as her new single “We Should Be Friends” is set to arrive at radio on December 12.

Miranda Lambert has expanded her longtime partnership with Sony Music Nashville by establishing her own imprint on the label. The label imprint will be named Vanner Records and will feature Lambert’s forthcoming studio album, The Weight Of These Wings, as its first release. Miranda’s journey with Sony began when she signed with the label in 2003.

Miranda Lambert has revealed that her first studio project in two years, The Weight Of These Wings, will actually be a double album. The double album will consist of 24 songs, with each “disc” taking on its own specific title. Disc 1 will be titled The Nerve, while Disc 2 will be named The Heart. Lambert’s forthcoming sixth studio album will be released on November 18.
