Tito the American Bulldog Mix

Tito the American Bulldog Mix is KBOE 104.9 FM & KMZN‘s Pet of the Week!

Tito is approximately 3-years-old, and he is one of the most positive and upbeat dogs we’ve had in the station to date! Although he is so happy and seemingly carefree, we do know that being kenneled gives him anxiety, so he’ll need an understanding owner that won’t kennel him.

If you’re interested in bringing Tito home, contact Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter for more information. If you have other canine-companions, we suggest bringing them in for a “meet and greet” with Tito before you take him home with you. ????

For more information, call SMAS at 641-673-3991 or check out their website: http://www.stephenmemorial.org.

About SMAS

With the help of the Mahaska Humane Society, SMAS cares for over 1,000 animals per year. They provide animal control services for the City of Oskaloosa, rural Mahaska County, and smaller municipalities that have signed contracts with SMAS. In addition, they also work to educate the community about responsible pet ownership through multiple community outreach programs and through their “Spay the County” program in which they offer spay/neuter assistance to low-income families within Mahaska County, IA. Though we are a small shelter, serving a rural community, we pride ourselves on having a progressive view on animal sheltering as a field as well as the ways animal welfare organizations are a value to the community.

Taz the Brindle Pitbull-Mix

Meet Taz, KBOE‘s Pet of the Week! She is a three-year-old Brindle/Pitbull mix available for adoption at Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter in Oskaloosa. She does not do so great with small dogs or cats in the home, but she is quite the lover when she finds her “person”. Shy at first, she tends to warm up when she gets to know her surroundings and feels more confident after she’s had some time to get settled.

She was brought into the shelter with her friend, Igor. For more information on Taz or any other pet at the shelter, contact Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter at (641) 673-3991.
