On this day in 2014, CBS aired “ACM Presents: An All-Star Salute To The Troops” with George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum, Toby Keith, Lee Brice, Dierks Bentley and Merle Haggard.  The ACM would later announce that a $650,000 contribution to ACM Lifting Lives, was made on behalf of the artists who participated in the taping.

American Country Countdown Award Finalists Announced

The finalists for the 2016 American Country Countdown Awards have been announced. Luke Bryan leads the pack with seven nominations, followed by Sam Hunt who has a total of five. Thomas Rhett and Zac Brown Band follow close behind with four nods apiece, and Florida Georgia Line picked up three of their own. The show will air live from the “Fabulous” Forum in Inglewood, California, on May 1st at 7:00 pm on Fox.

March 30th: On This Day

On this day in 2014, Flordia Georgia Line’s Duet with Luke Bryan “This Is How We Roll” began a three-week stay on top of the Billboard Country Charts. The song was the fifth single from Florida Georgia Line’s album Here’s To The Good Times, though it is only on the 2013 This Is How We Roll rerelease.

Cole Swindell had assisted the artist in wrting the song, and a remix featuring Jason Derulo and Bryan was released later in 2014. The song would be 3X Certified Platinum by the RIAA.

Kelsea Ballerini Added To Academy Of Country Music Awards Performers List

The list of performers at the 51st Academy of Country Music Awards has grown with the addition of Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, and Sam Hunt to the already star-studded lineup. These artists join previously announced performers Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Florida Georgia Line and Cam during the show, which will be broadcast live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 3rd at 7:00 pm on CBS.

Keith Urban & Vince Gill Return For All For The Hall Benefit Concert

The sixth annual All For The Hall Benefit Concert will return to Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on April 12th. Keith Urban and Vince Gill will return for the annual event, which raises money each year for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The concert will feature performances from Urban and Gill along with Luke Bryan, Peter Frampton, Florida Georgia Line, Emmylou Harris, Sam Hunt, Jason Isbell, Maddie & Tae, and Maren Morris.

Florida Georgia Line Enjoying A Low-Key NYE This Year

Florida Georgia Line will be enjoying a more low-key kind of New Year’s Eve this year. Last year, the guys were right in the middle of the New York City Action. Brian shares, “Probably my favorite New Year’s Ever was last year, we got to play Time Square with Taylor Swift. Ryan Seacrest’s show, man it was incredible night.”

Florida Georgia Line’s Thanksgiving

Florida Georgia Line has a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving including their most recent award wins at the America Music Awards over the weekend. As for the big Thanksgiving meal, Tyler Hubbard says, “If you’re at Thanksgiving in my house and there’s not some sweet potato casserole, it’s not Thanksgiving. It doesn’t count, it’s so unofficial.”

Florida Georgia Line, Little Big Town & Zac Brown Band Added To CMA Awards

Florida Georgia Line, Little Big Town and Zac Brown Band have been added to the already star-studded lineup of performers at the 49th Annual CMA Awards next week. Dierks Bentley is also set to appear during the annual ceremony to give a special performance with electronic violinist Lindsey Stirling.
