On this day in 1991, Alan Jackson enjoyed his second #1 hit with “Don’t Rock the Jukebox”. “Don’t Rock the Jukebox” was the lead single from the album of the same name. The song received an ASCAP award for Country Song of the Year in 1992 and would be covered by Alvin and the Chipmunks later that year.

Trisha Yearwood To Be Honored By The ASCAP

The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) will honor Trish Yearwood with the ASCAP Voice of Music Award at this year’s 54rd Annual ASCAP Country Music Awards in Nashville. The invitation-only, black-tie gala will be held on November 2nd at the Omni Nashville Hotel.
