Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds was in Sigourney Thursday (8/22) to visit Lake Belva Deer State Park. She says her visit was in advance of next year being the 100th anniversary of the State Park System. Reynolds tells the No Coast Network she liked what she saw.
“Loved the cabins. Those are really fun for families that don’t have a motor home or a trailer. We’ve got a tent, but that’s something we look for when we’re trying to go to the parks. It just makes it easier. We’ve got ten grandchildren. So we love doing this stuff with them.”
Reynolds says her visit was also part of her 99 county tour of Iowa.
