He pointed a gun at a woman who was holding their one-year-old child. That’s what Ottumwa Police say 29-year-old Ramon Melara-Cerna did last week. He was arrested Sunday (1/26) after allegedly showing a handgun during two separate assaults. According to court records, Melara-Cerna first pointed a gun at the mother of his child and threatened her as she was holding their baby. Melara-Cerna is also accused of pointing a gun at a different woman in the presence of three children. He has been charged with three counts of child endangerment, domestic abuse, assault while displaying a weapon and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Melara-Cerna is in custody in the Wapello County Jail.
