On this day in 1976, Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris performed together for the first time for a taping of the TV show, “Dolly.”

“Trio” was the first collaborative studio album by Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt,  released on March 2, 1987, by Warner Bros. Records.  The album has sold over 4 million copies worldwide and has also received several accolades.
