Much like other country stars, Morgan Wallen has deep roots in the areas most affected by Hurricane Helene. Born and raised in eastern Tennessee, the devastation touched family, friends and fans and will for quite some time. Wallen is in the unique position of being able to help in ways most of us can’t; to that end, he donated $500-thousand to the American Red Cross. On Sunday, Wallen took to social media to let fans know that his family was safe, and offered heartfelt prayers to everyone impacted. “My family in East Tennessee are safe but I know many are absolutely devastated there and in multiple states…Those hills and hollers are very important to me in so many ways. It is going to take a monumental effort and I am in contact with my team and others working on ways I can help.” Half a million dollars will go a long way.
