OSKALOOSA – A Missouri woman died last weekend from injuries sustained in an accident at Bluff Creek OHV Park, southwest of Oskaloosa.

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) says that 26-year-old Emily Turner of Jamesport, Missouri, succumbed to injuries suffered from a single-vehicle crash on August 8. She was operating a four-wheel ATV on a track at the popular ATV and off-road motorcycle park when she lost control and was thrown from the machine at approximately 8:00 PM.

Eddyville First Responders, the Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office, and the Iowa DNR responded to the scene and began life saving measures. Turner was transported to Mahaska Health, where she was pronounced deceased later that night.

The accident remains under investigation.
