Miranda Lambert is planning to spend part of her summer on the road, but not actually on tour. The singer tells “People” she has blocked off and entire month this summer to go on a road trip with hubby Brendan McLoughlin. 

The couple will take their road trip in her Airstream, with backup singer Gwen Sebastian and her husband joining them in their camper. They plan to head West, with Miranda noting, “It’s so far from Nashville that I never had enough time to like, get there.”

The trip is expected to last twenty days, with the couples spending two days each in Colorado, Utah, Montana and Wyoming.

She notes, “I’m very, very excited about that. It’s such a different way of seeing the world.”

• But until then Miranda is still on the road with Little Big Town on “The Bandwagon Tour.” It hits Wantagh, New York tonight.
