Miranda Lambert returned to the stage this weekend with shows at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth, Texas, and it certainly was an emotional experience. The shows were her first since COVID lockdowns shut down touring, and she broke down in front of fans as she sang “The House That Built Me.”
“First show back in over a year. I missed y’all so much,” she told the crowd, which helped her by singing some of the song for her.
“No matter what I’ve ever done in my career and what I’m still gonna do, somehow I still feel most at home on a barstool under a neon sign,” Miranda shared. “I walked in here and I took a little tour around, and I just felt so at home. I remembered why I do this and why I missed y’all’s faces so much.”
Miranda returns to Billy Bobs May 1st and 2nd.
