Faith Hill currently stars in the hit Paramount+ series “1883” but she says there was a time when she never thought she’d act again.
In case you missed it, Faith stopped by “The Kelly Clarkson Show” this week where she revealed that after appearing in the 2004 film “The Stepford Wives,” with Nicole Kidman and Matthew Broderick, she lost her taste for acting.
“I had done a couple of things. I did ‘Stepford Wives’ with an amazing cast,” she shares. “It wasn’t the best experience, so I said, ‘I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever do another, anything like that, a movie,'” explaining, “”Because it took so long. The waiting for me…,” noting, “I have to be busy doing stuff.”
While she didn’t give up acting completely, appearing in the indie film “Dixieland” in 2015, it wasn’t until “1883” that she really felt like she had to go back to it.
“I’ve read a lot of scripts over the years, and nothing hit me or the timing wasn’t right,” she says of the series, which co-stars hubby Tim McGraw. “I honestly had never read anything like that. So we just made the decision to do it.”
