MAREN MORRIS DEBUTS NEW SONG, LIVE

Brit fans at her show in London Wednesday night got a special treat from Maren Morris. The singer surprised the audience with what she explained was a new song inspired by her own experiences of wrestling with self-confidence and self-worth. Titled “Get The Hell Out Of Here,” the song drew an enthusiastic response from the crowd.

Though she has collaborated with other artists on a couple of one-offs, “Get the Hell Out of Here” would mark the first new solo music from Morris since the release of her March 2022 “Humble Quest” album. She has been teasing that she’s hard at work on some new music, so perhaps some new Maren Morris music hits country radio in the second half of the year?

TOBY KEITH PERFORMS POP-UP COMEBACK CONCERT – AND THEN DOES IT AGAIN

Recent photos of Toby Keith had fans concerned for the country legend – as he looked like he’d lost a considerable amount of weight during his battle with stomach cancer. For his part, Toby has been itching to get back on stage – out of commission for quite some time as various treatments had him sitting on the sidelines. But no more.

Anxious to perform again, over the weekend Toby took the stage at Hollywood Corners, a bar that he owns in his home state of Oklahoma – and what was supposed to just be a rehearsal of sorts for Toby to test the waters ended up turning into a full blown 2 and a half hour full band show. And all reports are, the legend hasn’t lost a step.

Just in case you thought Toby expended all his energy in that one show, you don’t know Toby – as he did it again the next night! Toby expressed recently that he was hoping to get back on the road by the end of the year – and it’s still early, but it looks like “The Big Dog” is well on his way to making that happen!

KELSEA BALLERINI STRUCK IN FACE BY THROWN OBJECT WHILE PERFORMING

We’re less than two weeks removed from the harrowing incident in New York – where Bebe Rexha was performing and some concert attendee (we won’t call them a ‘fan’) hurled a cellphone at her as she performed, hitting her in the eye and causing her to drop to the stage, eventually needing stitches.

As scary as that was, it’s hard to believe it happened again – this time to Kelsea Ballerini, who was on stage Wednesday evening in Boise, Idaho when an object thrown from the crowd nailed her in the face. She stopped the show and left the stage, eventually returning to address the incident.

“Can we just talk about what happened?” Ballerini said to the crowd. “All I care about is keeping everyone safe. If you ever don’t feel safe, please let someone around you know. If anyone’s pushing too much or you just have that gut feeling, just always flag it. Don’t throw things. You know?” It’s difficult to fathom that crowds need to be told this, but here we are.

  • In a follow-up on Instagram, Kelsea updated her fans on the incident: “Hi. I’m fine. someone threw a bracelet, it hit me in the eye, and it more so just scared me than hurt me. We all have triggers and layers of fears way deeper than what is shown, and that’s why i walked offstage to calm down and make sure myself, band and crew, and the crowd all felt safe to continue,” she wrote. “That’s all i ever want, is for shows to feel like a safe place for us all. I love you and appreciate all of the concern, let’s make the last two shows of the heartfirst tour the best yet.”
