We see this far too often: a gullible fan gets a message from their favorite artist, start swapping DMs, and too often, money changes hands. It’s obviously not the star talking to them, but people want to believe so much that they fall prey to the scam. Warren Zeiders met one such fan face to face recently, and had to break the bad news to her. During a livestreamed meet and greet, one lady came up to the singer and asked, “Can I ask you something? I’m not talking to you on anything am I?” Zeiders let her know that whoever she was talking to online, it wasn’t him. She then admitted, “I have lost a lot of money to these scammers.”

@donnyclipss DAY 5: NO BRAKES LIVESTREAM. A woman claims she’s having “private” conversations with Warren. If someone is claiming to be Warren or a member of his family, you’re most likely talking to an impostor. Please stay safe, stay sharp, and remain vigilant. #warrenzeiders #nobrakes #twitch #livestreaming ♬ original sound – Donny
