By Sam Parsons

The Oskaloosa city council will host their next regular meeting tonight. On the agenda is a resolution regarding a potential land swap with the Oskaloosa Community School District for the district’s building trades program. The resolution that will be presented to the council involves the city preparing properties owned by the district south of I Ave East and north of Community Stadium, between North 1st Street and North 3rd Street, for residential development by the district; in return, the district would deed certain properties valued at $719,200 and make a direct payment of $225,800 to the city.

The council will also discuss proposed amendments to the city’s development agreement with Oskaloosa Post Development LLC, the owner of the American Table Restaurant.

Tonight’s meeting will begin at 6pm in the Oskaloosa City Hall council chambers.
