(OSKALOOSA, Iowa) – Dedicated half marathon runners conquered the entire trail this past Saturday, despite the cold rainy and snowy weather.

The Oskaloosa Education Foundation (OEF) held its 2nd Annual Pot of Gold Half Marathon & 5K Fun Run on March 24, 2018. The event is held in memory of Isaac Hoven, an Oskaloosa Middle School Cross Country runner who passed away in March 2016. A total of 122 ambitious runners signed up, an increase of 30 from the inauguration last year.

The run was organized by Autumn Reisetter and proceeds go towards a scholarship for a male and female runner, and the rest of the funds will go to support other OEF funding projects for students and teachers.
