On this day in 1987, Reba McEntire’s twelfth album, The Last One to Know, was released. It was her first album to chart on the Billboard 200.

The Last One To Know produced two number one singles with “The Last One to Know” and  “Love Will Find Its Way to You” . The album was Certified Platinum by the RIAA.

On this day in 2004, Reba McEntire‘s song “Somebody” made its way to the top of the charts. It was Reba’s 22nd Billboard #1 single. The song was the second single off of Reba’s twenty-third studio album Room to Breathe.

Reba Teams Up With Cracker Barrel To Debut “Rockin’ R By Reba”

Reba has teamed up with Cracker Barrel Old Country Store to debut a new retail line called “Rockin’ R By Reba.” The new line will be available beginning August 4th exclusively at Cracker Barrel stores nationwide and will feature everything from Western-Themed jewelry on ponchos to dinnerware and toys for the kids.

On this day in 1985, Reba McEntire had the #1 song with “Whoever’s in New England”. The song was the first single, and title track of Reba’s 10th Studio Album Whoever’s in New England.

On this day in 1993, Reba McEntire’s It’s Your Call was Certified Double Platinum. The album produced three hits, “Its Your Call”, “The Heart Won’t Lie”, which featured Vince Gill, and “Baby’s Gone Blues”, which was a cover of Patty Loveless. It’s Your Call sold 104,000 copies it’s first week, making it Reba’s first top 10 album.

It’s Your Call has now been certified 3X Multi-Platinum.

On this day in 1986, Reba McEntire scored the fifth number one of her career with “Whoever’s in New England.” The song was her first single from and title track from Whoever’s in New England. The song, which is considered one of her signature and breakthrough singles, helped lead her to her first #1 album on the Billboard Country Albums Chart.

Reba Talks “Auld Lang Syne”

When Reba hears folks singing the tradition “Auld Lang Syne” on New Year’s Eve each year, she cringes just a bit. She says, “My least favorite song of all time is “Auld Lang Syne” because it’s so sad. I wish we had come up with a more happy song besides that for New Year’s Eve.”
