Love and Theft Donates Song Proceeds to Manchester

Love and Theft are among the countless country stars who have sent their love to Manchester, England, following the deadly bombing at an Ariana Grande concert on Monday (5/22). As a way to show their support, the duo has pledged to donate proceeds from the download of their new song, “Love Wins,” over the next month to charity. In a video posted on Facebook, the duo’s Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson sat on the steps of Nashville’s Parthenon as they performed an acoustic rendition of their new song.

Maren Morris Stands with Manchester

Like so many other musicians around the world, Maren Morris’ heart is broken for the city of Manchester, England, following Monday’s (5/22) deadly bombing at an Ariana Grande concert. In a heartfelt message posted on Instagram Tuesday (5/23), Maren wrote about the bonding nature of music and also reassured fans that she’s still bringing her “Hero Tour” to Manchester on November 20. She says, “I want my fans there to know that I can’t wait to see you and give you all big hugs this fall.”

 

Maren’s full message reads, “We do this to connect. For just a few hours, no matter what religion, race, gender, or economic background you come from, music tethers us. My heart is broken for Manchester, but I want my fans there to know that I can’t wait to see you and give you all big hugs this fall. No one should fear walking into a venue or onto a stage. It’s our job to fight that and have the best time ever. We do this for each other and that will never be stopped.”
