After Tyler Farr was placed on vocal rest Maddie and Tae were happy to step for him and help their friend Lee Brice kick off his “Life Off My Years Tour.” The duo’s Tae Dye says that the two were scheduled to write for the next album when they received the call about joining the tour, but quickly made a few changes to accommodate the new tour schedule and help out their friends.

Tyler Farr has been placed on vocal rest after undergoing surgery to have a vocal polyp removed from his vocal chords. Farr first became aware of vocal issues while on tour with Jason Aldean over the summer. To maximize recovery, Farr is cancelling all shows for the next few months, including the concerts with his good friend Lee Brice on the upcoming “Life Off My Years Tour.”

Lee Brice Raises $20,000 For Flood Relief In South Carolina

Lee Brice helped raised $20,000 for flood relief in his home state of South Carolina after holding a trio of concerts there in October and November. The charitable donations were raised beginning with a show at Coastal Carolina University on October 16th, followed by an outdoor show in Spartanburg one day later. Brice collected money and food donations at both events.

Today in 2010, Lee Brice’s “Love Like Crazy” was at #3 on the Billboard Country Songs Chart, and at week 55, it broke the record for most weeks on the chart. The song that held that chart record of 54 weeks was Eddy Arnold’s “Bouquet of Roses,” which debuted the week of May 15, 1948
