George Strait will present famed singer-songwriter Jim Lauderdale with the Americana Music Association’s Wagonmaster Award during the upcoming 15th Annual Honors & Awards Show in Nashville. The annual ceremony will take place at Nashville’s iconic Ryman Auditorium on September 21.
· Named after country music icon Porter Wagoner, the Wagonmaster Award is a lifetime achievement honor reserved for the most valuable contributors to the Americana format.
· Strait has recorded more than a dozen of Lauderdale’s songs in his career, including “Where The Sidewalk Ends” and “I Gotta Get to You.”
