Hank Williams Jr. Will Return to Monday Night Football

Hank Williams Jr. is returning to ESPN’s Monday Night Football this fall with a brand-new version of “All My Rowdy Friends,” featuring its “Are you ready for some football?” catchphrase. The upcoming season of Monday Night Football will mark Hank Jr.’s first appearance on the broadcast in over five years following ESPN’s decision to pull his song midseason in 2011. At the time, ESPN pulled the song after Williams made controversial comments on FOX News that involved then-President Barack Obama.

 

  • William’s new version of “All My Rowdy Friends” will debut before the first Monday night game of the upcoming NFL season, between the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints on September 11.

Hank Jr. started his career out at eight-years-old, singing his father’s songs, and did so for many years.  near-fatal fall off the side of Ajax Peak in Montana on August 8, 1975.
