Tim McGraw And Faith Hill Join The Voice

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are joining the cast of NBC’s The Voice. Tim and Faith will serve as key advisers during the current season of The Voice, making them the first duo to ever take on that role on the show. As part of their advisor role, the couple will help get artists ready for the high-stakes knockout rounds airing in October.

 

·         This news comes during a big week for Tim and Faith, as they just announced their 65-city “2017 Soul2Soul World Tour” earlier this week and they also celebrate their 20^th wedding anniversary today (10/6).

Happy Birthday to Faith Hill, who was born on this day in 1967. Hill started her career in music  as a secretary at a music publishing firm and singing backup vocals. After signing a record contract, in 1993, Hill released Take Me as I Am. With the chart success of “Wild One”, Take Me as I am sold over 3,000,000 copies. Hill became the first female country singer in 30 years to hold Billboard’s number one position.

On this day in 2005, Faith Hill released her sixth album Fireflies. The album featured the number one song “Mississippi Girl”. “Mississippi Girl” along with four other hits helped the album reach #1 on both the Billboard 200 and Top Country Albums chart.

Fireflies was Hill’s third #1 album and has gone on to be Certified 3x Platinum by the RIAA.

On this day in 1998, Faith Hill’s “This Kiss” held the #1 slot on the chart. The song was off of Hill’s third studio album Faith. “This Kiss” was nominated for two Grammy Awards for Best Female Country Vocal Performance and Grammy Award for Best Country Song but lost both categories to “You’re Still the One” by Shania Twain.

On this day in 2015, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill attended the Premiere of McGraw’s latest movie “Tomorrowland” in Anaheim, California, along with George Clooney. The movie received mixed reviews and wound up costing Disney between $120 to $140 million.

According to The Tennessean, Tim McGraw and his wife Faith Hill will attend a Nashville Fundraiser with Democratic Presidential Candidate and former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The fundraiser will reportedly take place in Music City on September 29th, but few other details have been released about the upcoming event.
