Josh Turner Tops The Billboard Charts For The First Time In 5 Years

Josh Turner is back.

After a five-year wait between albums, his sixth studio album, Deep South, debuted this week at #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

Josh said, “I’ve lived a lot of life since the release of my last album and I’ve learned a lot during the making of this album. I have grown as a writer and as an artist.”

He adds, “It’s been cool to see this culmination of life and lessons and age boiled down into this project and I am really proud of Deep South.”

Turner’s last album, Punching Bag, was released in June 2012. The album hit #1 on the charts but didn’t produce a #1 hit. His last #1 single was “All Over Me” in 2010.
